Our campsite at Saint Pierre d'Albigny in Savoie

Our campsite in Savoie is located at the bottom of the town of St Pierre d’Albigny. The town of Saint Pierre d’Albigny, the southern gateway to the Massif des Bauges in Savoie, has a population of 3958. It is part of the Coeur de Savoie community of municipalities, which includes the towns of Montmélian and La Rochette.

Situated halfway between Albertville and Chambéry, it is on the sunny side of the Arclusaz mountain range, which is so distinctive among the Savoie and Combe de Savoie hills.

Saint Pierre d’Albigny is a town that is highly prized by its residents for its lifestyle and exceptional location. It is located in Savoie’s ‘Golden Triangle’, close to Chambéry, Albertville and Grenoble. It is very close to the various urban centres of the Rhône Alpes region: 20 minutes from Chambéry, 30 from Albertville, 45 minutes from Grenoble and Annecy and 1 hour from Lyon. This makes it an ideal base for visiting all the tourist attractions in the Rhône Alpes region.

A very interesting cultural and historical heritage

The town of Saint Pierre d’Albigny and the Combe de Savoie in general also boast some very interesting historical monuments, including the Château de Miolans, which protected the Combe de Savoie from various invasions in the Middle Ages, the towers of Chignin, and the Cathedral of Myans and its golden virgin built after the collapse of Mont Granier, which ‘miraculously’ saved the village.

The Saint Pierre d'Albigny leisure park, a favorite with locals.

The leisure centre, and therefore the campsite, is located downstream from the town of St Pierre d’Albigny. It comprises the lake, which has been awarded the Blue Flag since 2018 and is also renowned for its fishing, and the beach, where you’ll find plenty of shady spots and supervised swimming in July and August. There’s also a restaurant and activities that change from year to year, such as pedalo and paddle boat hire, buoys, etc. You’ll also find a play area in addition to the one already on the campsite.
