Mont Blanc, the legendary summit of the Alps

Europe and even the whole world gather in Chamonix to catch a glimpse of Mont Blanc, the roof of Europe, from the top of its 4,810m. In the streets of this ‘high mountain town’, you’ll hear every language. This is the place to go if you love mountaineering. It’s also a wonderful place for hikers and true nature lovers. What you can see here is almost impossible to describe with a keyboard.

In the heart of the city, look up: it’s everywhere. 4810 m of rock, ice, snow and wonderful landscapes for everyone.

Take the Mer de Glace mini-train with your family and visit the cave built in the ice, or take the Aiguille du Midi cable car to face ‘Him’ and enjoy a panorama that’s unique in the world.

Our campsite is ideal for families (with young and old children) or groups of friends to visit this legendary summit. On the campsite, you’ll be able to appreciate Mont Blanc, the famous mountain that is very popular with mountaineers. This great mountain is a real eye-catcher for everyone and now you from Mont Blanc. You’ll have the chance to spend a day there and enjoy its many attractions.

Chamonix, a town for mountain enthusiasts.

The town of Chamonix at the foot of Mont Blanc will be your starting point for conquering this legendary area. From here, you can take the family-friendly Mer de Glace train or the Aiguille du Midi cable car.

The town is a wonderful tourist attraction. Situated 1h15 from our campsite, the people are friendly and there’s lots to discover. You can enjoy the views and it’s a really pretty town with lots of tourists. You can shop and relax here. It’s because the town is in the middle of nature that many people find it interesting when they’re on holiday in the region.

To visit Mont Blanc, if you’re travelling with children, it may not be practical to do this kind of hike for safety and endurance reasons. Instead, you can choose to use the cable car or the little train on the sea of ice. That way, the adventure for your children is complete too.

Another destination is Lake Annecy, one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in the Alps.

Lake Annecy is widely recognised for its crystal clear, pure water, which comes directly from a glacier and an underwater spring. The lake covers an area of around 27 square kilometres and is 80 metres deep. There are numerous beaches along the approximately 38 kilometres of coastline, and a large part of the lake is surrounded by cycle paths and car-free hiking trails. Although the lake is surrounded by impressive mountains, the cycling and walking routes around the lake are fairly flat and therefore easy to do. The water is of course perfect for a variety of activities, including sailing, diving, water-skiing, surfing, kayaking and swimming. The water temperature in summer is around 22 degrees Celsius.
